BERINGER VINEYARDS

1.36 MW DC

Beringer is host to the largest solar installation at a winery in the United States, a 1.34 MW DC system capable of generating 1,860,245 kilowatt hours of green energy annually. Beringer Vineyards is the oldest continuously operating winery in the Napa Valley. With the present use of state-of-the-art technology applied to age-old traditions, Beringer Vinyards' wines continue to reflect a single-minded dedication to the making of memorable wines from great Napa Valley Vineyards.

Foster’s Wines Estates currently hosts four solar installations, including the Etude, Asti, Beringer and Stags’ Leap Wineries, financed and owned by Perpetual Energy Systems, a comprehensive developer of solar powered renewable energy systems. The total project generates 3,852,271 kWh, eliminating more than 2.0 million pounds of CO2 emissions annually.

The reduction of 2.0 million pounds of CO2 is equivalent to:

  • Taking 183 passenger cars off the roads for a year
  • The amount of CO2 that it would take 155,267 trees to process from the environment in a year.
