Joseph Rodriguez
Joseph Rodriguez is President and Chief Executive Officer of Perpetual Energy Systems. Mr. Rodriguez has over 16 years of Project and Corporate Finance experience with more than 11 years of experience as an investment banker in roles at country and regional levels with global investment banks like Citigroup in London and South Africa and leading investment banks in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Mr. Rodriguez owns rich product and deal execution knowledge related to Project and Corporate Finance and has a deep knowledge of several industries. Within the Energy & Power sector, he has advised international sponsors and raised capital for power plants (IPP’s and IWPP’s) in excess of 5,000 MW capacity and received several deal awards by international banking publications such as Euromoney, Project Finance Magazine, MEED and IFR. Mr. Rodriguez holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School in New York as well as a Master and Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Sharon Goldstein
Sharon Goldsteinis the Chief Operating Officer of Perpetual Energy Systems. From 2002 to 2006 Ms. Goldstein was a partner in a tax credit acquisition firm and was responsible for its financial affairs and for its day-to-day operations. From 1992 to 2002, Ms. Goldstein was employed by a nationally recognized tax credit syndication firm as its Executive Vice President, where she was responsible for the syndication and finance departments and was involved in raising tax credit equity. From 1989 to 1992, Ms. Goldstein was employed as an auditor at the Los Angeles accounting firm of Alder, Green & Hasson. Ms. Goldstein is a Certified Public Accountant and received her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.
Shawn Horwitz
Shawn Horwitz is Chairman of Perpetual Energy Systems, and is President of the Manager and a co-founder of Alliant Capital. From 1990 to 1997, Mr. Horwitz was employed by a nationally recognized tax credit syndication firm as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer where he was responsible for the financial affairs of the company and its affiliates. Additionally, he was integrally involved in the raising of equity, the acquisition process and the day-to-day running of the company. From 1984 to 1989, Mr. Horwitz was employed in the Chicago office of Altschuler, Melvoin & Glasser as Senior Manager in the real estate industry group. From 1981 to 1984, he was employed as an auditor by Arthur Young & Co. Mr. Horwitz received his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from Rhodes University in South Africa. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Michael Streams, Jr.
Michael Streams, Jr. is Senior Vice President of Business Development and General Counsel to Perpetual Energy Systems. Mr. Streams has over 10 years experience in the financing of real estate and major infrastructure projects using tax credit equity and tax-exempt debt. Mr. Streams has associated in real estate, corporate and municipal finance groups of O’Melveny & Myers, Stradling Yocca, Sidley Austin, and Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, and was corporate counsel to Alliant Capital. Between law firms, Mr. Streams served as VP of acquisitions for a tax credit equity syndication firm. Mr. Streams received a B.A. in philosophy from Fisk University, and was in residence at Princeton University as a Woodrow Wilson National Fellow prior to obtaining a Master in City and Regional Planning from Harvard University and a law degree from Columbia University.
